How the business started

BH Fish was founded in March 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic, as a way to support Poole fishermen and to encourage the Dorset community to cook locally caught seafood at home during the original Coronavirus Lockdown.

Fish are wild caught, using sustainable, low impact fishing methods and our Oysters, Cockles & Clams are farmed from inside Poole Harbour.

As business expanded, we spread our net further, to ensure as much of our home-caught fish stays on our shores as possible.  However, since all business are now operating to pre-pandemic levels we have down sized and now run Poole Seafood, owned by fishermen Mark, skipper of Golden Girl.

We work with other fishermen and aim to source what you would like, we do not keep high level of stocks as all produce is freshly sourced and supplied.  

Catches change daily, depending on what is caught by our fishermen, so if you don’t see what you want today, check back in tomorrow.  Adverse weather can impact on when our fishermen can get out safely, especially when they are working alone.

Seafood can be delivered to your door, Thurs - Sat, or collected by arrangement.
